Recommend any best YA romance novel authors?

It's not much of a romance novel, but it does have a little bit of romance forming in the books. I'm recommending the James Patterson Maximum Ride series. I've only read the first book, but I've been hooked and read the book in about a day. Uhh.. The Last Song and Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.
