Can Duff teach Armando how to be a guard dog?

Duff is my black lab x great dane and Armando is actually half belgian malinois half heinz 57 lol. We adopted Duff when he was about 4 or 5 months old and he just kinda picked it up on his own to bark when people pull in the driveway or come to the door. Today I noticed Armando (15 weeks old) barking when I unlocked my car from the house (it honked) Do you think Armando will just pick up this protection thing like Duff did? Do you think it'll be like monkey see monkey do and he'll learn from Duff? Do you think the fact that Duff is naturally protective of my son is the reason he barks? Will Armando do this too? Thanks!
